About the event
If you plan on attending auditions, please fill out this google form so that we can have a gauge for attendance. Please also complete/print the attached audition document and bring it the day of auditions!
The audition will consist of:
-1 minute routine (we will choreograph and teach this to you the day of auditions)
-30 second solo (you choreograph)
-Technical evaluation (turns and leaps)
-Pirouettes
-Laterals/al sicones (turns in 2nd)
-Straight leap (grand jeté)
-Second leap (side leap)
-Tilt jump
Perfection is not expected on all of these tricks since the team will be working on them all year long, but this is an attempt to gauge experience.
Please bring the following to your audition:
- Completed audition form
-$10 audition fee
- A copy of your audition music (for self choreographed solo)
-Clothing that you feel comfortable moving in
If you are unable to make the audition, we will accept video auditions. Send in a video of you performing a 30 second - 1 minute solo along with the prerequisite tricks. Include the attached audition form and signed consent by the date of audition and you will be included in the judging.
